MisOr Airport Needs Some 3,000 workers, says Project Exec

The Laguindingan Airport Development Project (LADP) now under construction in Misamis Oriental would be needing some 3,000 workers at its peak.

Engr. Della Capiceano, airport project manager, said the figure would be the maximum number of workers to be employed at the airport construction project.

As a gateway to Mindanao, the new airport would be located 30 km northeast of downtown Cagayan de Oro. It will serve as the replacement of the old Cagayan de Oro Airport at Lumbia and the Iligan Airport in Lanao del Norte.

The revised project cost of P7.853 billion for the LADP was approved by the National Economic Authority Board on Sept. 18.

At present, the project components now under construction include the P188-million access road, P43-million site development for the 2nd phase of the relocation site, P25-million house construction component for the same area, and P4.991-billion main civil works.
